First Day of School

1st Class: Advertising Campaigns

I was a bit intimidated because I have no idea what’s going on. However, I’m pretty excited because while most everyone there knows their advertising rules and parameters, I think my video skills will really make that come to life.

2nd Class: Principles of Costuming

I walked in to be faced with this horrible girl that I can’t stand, but luckily the class itself made up for it. Not only is it learning to sew, but the professor puts emphasis on drawing things out first. I haven’t had to buy art supplies in forever and I’m super excited.

3rd Class: 19th Century British Novel

I haven’t been so smiley in a class for a long time. My professor just started gushing about each book we were going to read and about the Victorian time period. I can almost tell that this is going to be my favorite class this semester.

4th Class: Africa in French Literature and Film

I’m not sure about this one just yet. The professor seems to be a bit all over the place but he knows a lot of things about a lot of things, and that’s kinda my thing. The class is cross-listed and he was asking us to introduce ourselves and which section we signed up for and when I really thought about it, I knew about film because of my career goals, Literature because of my minor, French because I’ve immersed myself in the language for years, and the sociology of racial and gender relations because of my Communication courses.

Overall, I had an awesome first day. Work seems to be like it’s going to be smooth sailing this semester, even if classes don’t feel the same way. I’m really excited to get back into learning.
